Market Driven Workforce System Committee
The Market Driven Workforce System Committee (referred to as the
Workforce Committee) initiates much of the strategic planning for
the WIB, including taking the lead on the WIB’s current strategic
planning process. Responsibilities of the Workforce Committee
include:
-
Labor Market Information- this committee reviews Department of
Employment and Economic Development’s labor market information
periodically to determine the industry priorities that direct
our work with businesses. This year the priority industries are
healthcare and advanced manufacturing.
-
Bringing solutions to fill workforce gaps- the committee is
overseeing a project that provides fast-track training for new
and incumbent workers in the manufacturing industry.
