Friends of the Workforce Investment Board
The Friends of the Workforce Investment Board (FWIB) was
incorporated in October of 2004, and 501(c)(3) status
was awarded in September of 2005. The FWIB serves as the official
employer of record and fiscal agent for the Ramsey County WIB. The unique
relationship of the WIB and FWIB allows for the independent
administration of the WIB while providing a community convener with
the ability to raise funds
for local collaborative initiatives.
The Memorandum of
Understanding between the two organizations defines the formal
relationship of the two organizations.
