Communications, Advocacy and Oversight Committee

This committee was active from 2003-2009, at which point it was merged with the Market Driven Workforce System Committee to form the Market Trends and Oversight Committee.  The Communications, Advocacy and Oversight Committee's responsibilities included:

• Recruiting and training new members, as well as retaining existing members
• Development of the WIB’s Annual Report and other board communications
• Developing the WIB’s legislative agenda (both locally and federally), which determines the WIB’s legislative priorities and what the WIB will advocate for during the legislative session 
• Dislocated Worker and WIA Adult programs review the performance outcomes for these programs, as well as overseeing and directing the RFP process for new service providers, and the development of the local plan, which outlines our county’s plans for these programs for the year 
• The CAO committee was charged with identifying a location for a the new Ramsey County WorkForce Center- Saint Paul.
